The Sennheiser  Urbanite XL have received positive reviews for their decent overall sound. They have a great bass for people who like a thumping low end. They have a solid build overall with a rugged headband and metal hinges. They are also said to be very comfortable with the headband supplying adequate cushioning and the earpads are made of memory foam, covered in velour.  Due to the Urbanite XL offering so much bass, the other frequencies can take a slight hit. The mid sound is slightly drowned out with certain genres while the highs remain clear. These Urbanite XL was made as a competitor to Beats By Dre, so they are more tailored for hip hop related genres. The Sennheisser Urbanite XL is a great headphone for people who enjoy listening to bass heavy music at the expense of a bit of mid-range clarity.
