Bottom Line
The Sennheiser RS 185 offers audiophile quality listening, but the open-back design means quite a bit of sound escapes and not much gets blocked.
The Sennheiser RS 185 RF TV headphone has received positive reviews for its excellent audio quality, with soundtracks said to be excellent and dialogue exceptionally clear. Users liked their improved power and volume buttons in comparison to the older models. The included optical cable was a plus for most as well as the auto-on function on the docking station. Users also liked the wireless transmission distance along with the overall strength of the transmission. Some found that although the earpads are velour, the headbands padding was a plastic like material that could make shaved heads sweat. Some also found that due to them being open-back headphones, they can leak sound. The Sennheiser RS 185 RF TV headphones are fairly pricey, but their audio quality is audiophile quality, although they may be less suited for shaved heads.

The Sennheiser RS185 are wireless headphones, but quite unlike the sea of wireless sets you’ll see elsewhere. They don’t use Bluetooth, but a bespoke RF system that offers much better range and an uncompressed audio stream.
