Bottom Line

The Beyerdynamic MMX300s are great for music, videos and gaming. They are very source dependent however, so be prepared to spend a bit extra on a good amp or soundcard.

The Beyerdynamic MMX300 gaming headsets received positive reviews for its excellent sound quality. They have a very flat frequency response similar to referencing headphones. Their wide soundstage is also deeply impressive along with their amazingly low microphonics. The mics on these are crystal clear. Users did however find that these lacked a bit of bass and that if you want these to perform at their best, they definitely needed a headphone amplifier of sorts. They are also quite bright in the high end, with that extra crispness being be a tad overwhelming for some users. One can easily tone down the treble frequencies with an equalizer, however. The Beyerdynamic MMX300 has quite a high price tag, but their overall performance justifies it, delivering an immersive gaming experience.
